The Twinning Festival took place this year in the Wendelinuspark on 15 and 16 August 2025 – and it could hardly have been lovelier. Brilliant sunshine, a well-filled park and a colourful programme made the weekend a true highlight of the events calendar.
Music, culture and good cheer
Friday started musically: from 5 pm the group SaxColours delighted the audience with stylish live music. At 7 pm Miriam officially opened the festival and warmly welcomed the many guests. Immediately afterwards DJ Ronson got the park dancing and provided an exuberant summer mood well into the night.
On Saturday things got going from noon. Guests could enjoy the wine village in a cosy atmosphere. A special highlight was the ceremonial entrance of the Rote Teufel and the wine royalty around 8 pm, accompanied by great applause from the guests. Afterwards live music was again on the programme with the band Slow Frat – a fine end to an eventful day.
Enjoyment for all generations
Of course the culinary offering could not be missing. Particularly popular were the currywurst stand, the freshly prepared crêpes and the refreshing soft-serve ice cream, which went down equally well with young and old.

The little ones got their money’s worth too: on both days the children’s play corner was open, used by many families and ensuring cheerful laughter in the park.
A strong signal for the twinning
The Twinning Festival is not only a place to celebrate but also an important meeting point for bringing the idea of twinning to life. We were delighted that so many guests showed interest, joined in and thereby supported the idea of community and solidarity.

Outlook: Twinning Festival 2026
After such a successful weekend we look to the future with anticipation: the next Twinning Festival takes place on 7 and 8 August 2026, again in the Wendelinuspark. We already warmly invite everyone to join us and once more celebrate culture, music and hospitality together.
A big thank-you to all the helpers who made this festival possible – and of course to the many visitors who made the Twinning Festival 2025 an unforgettable experience.
